Anastrazole

Anastrazole (Anastrozole) is used to treat breast cancer in postmenopausal women. It works by lowering estrogen levels, which can help to reduce or prevent the growth of certain tumors which rely on estrogen in order to grow.

Patients taking Anastrazole (Anastrozole) have reported the following side effects which may be experienced:

• Hair thinning
• Vaginal bleeding
• Swollen or tender breasts
• Changes in weight
• Insomnia

There are other possible side effects which are potentially very serious, however very rare. Patients should contact their physician immediately if they experience swollen limbs, unusual vaginal discharge, changes in vision, or speech difficulties.

Under no circumstances should Anastrazole (Anastrozole) be used by women who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
