Daclin

Daclin (Sulindac) functions as an anti-inflammatory and pain relieving medicine. It is used for pain relief. Patients affected by inflammatory musculoskeletal conditions (rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis and gout) are commonly given this medicine to relieve their symptoms, and it is also considered effective for tendinitis and acute pain caused by injuries. Experts believe that its analgesic and antipyretic effects are due to it inhibiting the synthesis of inflammatory prostaglandins.

Daclin (Sulindac) tablets come as a 200mg strength version. Calculation of the dosage regimen will be the responsibility of the physician in charge of providing medical treatment. Adult patients treating the acute symptoms of gout may be told to administer 200mg by mouth, twice per day alongside food. The physician will determine the duration of treatment, which can range from 7 to 10 days. Patients treating general pain, osteoarthritis or any other conditions must adhere to and comply with the instructions provided by the physician.

Patients using the NSAID (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug) Daclin (Sulindac) for the treatment of their symptoms may suffer from side effects. Tell your physician if this happens. Examples of possible reactions could include:

• Loose stools
• Drowsy feeling
• Spinning sensation
• Anxious or nervous mood
• Digestive discomfort in the stomach

Certain side effects triggered by this medicine may be serious (however, this usually only occurs in rare cases). It will be necessary to attend the hospital or consult a physician immediately if you suffer from strange pain affecting the muscles, disturbances affecting eyesight or speech, peeling or blisters visible on the skin, seizures, abnormal body weight increases or any other severe reactions not referenced here.

Ulceration of the stomach which is serious in nature has been associated with Daclin (Sulindac) in some cases. You will need to get medical care as soon as possible if this happens.

In order to minimize the risk of side effects, your physician will most likely only tell you to use it for a short period of time.
