F-Pecia

F-Pecia (Finasteride) is indicated for the treatment of male pattern hair loss (MPHL) in adult men. When taken as part of an ongoing treatment plan for baldness, it can help to slow down or stop the shedding of hair, and may also help some men to regrow their hair. This is due to it causing a decrease in DHT (dihydrotestosterone), the hormone which can trigger damage to the hair follicles if too much of it is present in the scalp. Physicians have also prescribed it for benign prostatic hyperplasia or BPH (an enlarged prostate gland).

Adult men who are undergoing treatment for baldness with F-Pecia (Finasteride) tablets must first visit their physician so that the correct dosage can be prescribed. In most cases, patients are told that the dosage for male pattern baldness is 1mg taken per day. After taking this medicine daily for 3 to 6 months (or more), an improvement in symptoms may be noticed. If no positive results are noticed after 12 months of treatment, it is not likely that further treatment will be successful.

F-Pecia (Finasteride) can cause:

• Headache
• Dizziness
• Impotence
• Testicle pain
• Ejaculation disorders

You should inform your physician if any side effects occur. If you notice pain occurring in the breasts, lumps on the breasts, a discharge from the nipples or any other serious side effects, see your physician immediately.

Pregnant women should never handle the tablets, especially if they are broke, as the active ingredient could be absorbed through the skin, which could cause damage to the unborn baby.

This medicine has been associated with an increased risk of male breast cancer or prostate cancer.
