This drug may be prescribed alongside other medicines when used for this purpose. The primary ingredient in this medication belongs to a class of drugs called immunosuppressants, and it works by reducing immune system activity.
Prograf (Tacrolimus) capsules are administered orally, and the dosage regimen prescribed by the patient`s physician must be strictly followed. The dosage required may depend on a number of factors, and the patient`s health and body weight may need to be taken into account when the medicine is being prescribed. Adult patients are sometimes instructed to take it twice per day (every 12 hours). Do not cease treatment unless told to do so by your physician.
