Trapic

Trapic (Tranexamic Acid) is used for short periods of time to inhibit bleeding caused by tooth extraction, heavy menstruation, injury, nosebleeds, or surgery. It may also be used to treat bleeding disorders such as hemophilia. The medication operates by increasing the clotting action of the blood to stop active bleeding.

Strictly follow your physician`s instructions while using Trapic (Tranexamic Acid) to get the most effective results from treatment. The typical dosage is one tablet administered two to four times each day, but the best instructions will depend on your health condition and the severity of your symptoms. These should be swallowed with a large glass of water and can be taken on an empty stomach. Never crush or split the tablets to prevent destroying or altering the effects of their contents.

Common side effects that may occur while using Trapic (Tranexamic Acid) include:

• Nausea
• Diarrhea
• Mild skin rash
• Strangely elevated mood

Serious side effects that may require emergency medical attention are severe pain, chest pain, vision problems, severe headaches, painful urination, blood appearing in the urine, faintness, seizures, or signs of an allergic reaction such as hives, swelling, or difficulty breathing.

Do not begin using Trapic (Tranexamic Acid) if you have a history of strokes, history of bleeding in the brain, unusual disorders affecting the blood vessels in the eyes, or if you have recently had a blood clot. Also inform your physician if you have leukemia, an infection of the bladder or kidney, or kidney disease as these conditions may cause unexpected problems during treatment.
