Stablon (Tianeptine) is a mood enhancer used to help treat various kinds of depression. It is particularly effective in treating depression linked to alcohol dependency.
Typical dosage is one tablet three times a day taken before each meal. This dosage is lowered for elderly patients and for those suffering from renal dysfunction.

Do not use this medicine if you taken any form of MAO inhibitor within 2 weeks, and always inform your physician if you have been using an MAO inhibitor before you begin using it.
If you are undergoing any form of surgery, including dental surgery, it is important you always inform the surgeon/anesthetist/dentist that you have been taking this medicine as it may interfere with the anesthetics you are given. It is always advised that you also stop taking it 24 to 48 hours before the surgery, however this should always be done under the guidance of your physician.
